Also included in »HIP AZOTARA«’s line of products are UAN fertilizers with different contents of active substance – nitrogen


It is used for complete and additional nitric nutrition of different types of crops in:

  • basic fertilization (after the harvest), in order to speed up harvest residue decomposition, up to 100 l/ha
  • pre-sowing fertilization and/or pre-planting fertilization, 100-300 l/ha
  • to reinforce nutrition during early vegetation, 100-300 l/ha
  • for additional nutrition by applying to leaves (foliar feeding), in later stages of vegetation, 1-2 times, with UAN 0,5-1,0% solution

Advantages over other nitrogen fertilizers:

  • absorbed by plants more quickly and efficiently
  • can be mixed with the pesticides
  • can be evenly distributed using agricultural atomizers
  • suitable for both soil fertilization and additional nutrition
  • less labour-intensive
  • the possibility of applying small doses of nitrogen per hectare
  • applicable with direct sowing
  • easily stored and transported

 

Application

Fertilizing plants through ground application (in fields, gardens, potagers, grain herbs plantations)

Fertilization rates are analogous to those of granulated nitrogen fertilizers. The highest fertilization rate for a single application is 300 lit/ha. Such rate is suitable for fertilizing the spring crops before sowing. The fertilizer should reach the depth of 5-8 cm in the soil.

Winter crops should be fertilized for the first time after vegetation renewal, until the end of clustering using 150-250 l of pure UAN. Undiluted fertilizer is used for this purpose. In case of being late and if the air temperature exceeds 100 C, the solution of the fertilizer must be diluted 1:1 with water.

 

Additional nutrition by applying to leaves

Grain crops

In case of fertilizing winter crops starting from phenophase – the beginning of stem extension stage, UAN must be diluted:

  • when fertilization rate is up to 30 kg/ha of nitrogen
  • when fertilization rate is 31-50 kg/ ha of nitrogen
  • when fertilization rate is 51-60 kg/ ha of nitrogen.

During application herbicides can be used.


In maize it can be applied until the third leaf stage in quantity up to 150 lit/ha of undiluted UAN, together with the herbicides.

Leafy plants (potatoes, sugar beet, etc.)

  • Fertilization is performed through leaf application during the period of intensive growth (potatoes – before bud formation period, sugar beet – when leaves cover the space between rows)
  • Fertilization rate is up to 15 kg/ha of nitrogen. The fertilizer must be diluted 1:3

 

Additional plant nutrition

Fertilization can be performed by using pure UAN fertilizer or its mixture with other preparations. For additional plant nutrition small quantities (up to 7.5 kg/ha) are used (the fertilizer must be diluted 1:10). For additional nutrition by applying to leaves UAN solution is used for plants that were exposed to drought or if the soil was wet for a long time.

 

Fertilizing lawns

Fertilizing lawns is performed in quantities of 1 lit/are in concentration 1:3. Available packages are 1/1 and 1/5lit.

Note: When there are water droplets on the leaves, and after suffering the exposure to severe weather conditions (hail, frost, storm, etc.) plants should not be treated with UAN.
